Earlier this month, Dr Jess and Dr Daman went to the launch of a new drug called Solensia. This innovative product is the first and only a monthly injectable antibody therapy for cats with osteoarthritis!

Using monoclonal antibody technology, Solensia is safer to use with minimal impact on the liver, kidneys and gut unlike the usual course of treatmend with non-steroidal medications (NSAIDS). Unlike NSAIDS, Solensia works by targeting the Nerve Growth Factor – a key player in osetoarthritis. It helps to increase mobility and decreases pain as early as the first injection!
