Hummus the pug has had a rough start to 2021 but that hasn’t stopped his happy nature and love for attention!
One afternoon in January, Hummus’ dad heard a huge crash! He ran to the gym room to find Hummus sitting on the floor next to the weights, but this super dog’s tail was still wagging.
Little did Dad know, being the cheeky little pug he is, Hummus had just fractured his front right leg! So one major orthopaedic surgery at our clinic later; Hummus was feeling fine, enjoying the happy drugs and loving our team’s attention but that wasn’t enough for this naughty pug!
Hummus was back the next week, having ruptured his eyeball!! Insane! We sent him off to see our friends at Melbourne Eye Vet who decided the only option was to remove the eye all together. But do you know what?
Hummus’ little tail was STILL wagging!
He had made even more friends through his expensive adventures! Luckily for Hummus, despite his new ‘look’ his dad still thinks he is super cute and to match his ‘hero’ attitude, Hummus now rocks the coolest eye patch!
