About Me

Ever since I was little, I have absolutely adored animals and always felt a special connection with them. Growing up surrounded by fish, cats, guinea pigs, birds, and especially my childhood dogs, Sarge and April, inspired my passion for animal care and helped shape the person I am today. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work in a field where I could make a difference in the lives of animals and be a voice for them when they need it most.

Working in the veterinary industry allows me to combine my love of animals with my desire to support their health, wellbeing, and happiness every day.

My Passion, Purpose & Motivation

I am particularly passionate about fear-free handling and animal behaviour, and I love helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during their visits to the clinic.

Whether it’s cuddling a puppy or kitten, sitting quietly with a patient while they recover from surgery, or simply offering reassurance during a stressful moment, I find so much joy in helping animals feel calm and secure. Some of my favourite moments are spent telling patients what a brave and wonderful job they’ve done while they recover and prepare to head home to their families.

I have also developed a strong interest in laboratory work and wildlife care and enjoy continuing to learn about all aspects of animal health and welfare. Being able to contribute to an animal’s wellbeing, even in a small way, is what makes this career so rewarding for me.

My Qualifications & Experience

I completed my Certificate I and II in Animal Care through TAFE while still in high school. During this time, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Myuna Farm and Chesterfield Farm, gaining valuable hands-on experience working with a diverse range of animals that many people don’t encounter every day.

These experiences helped build my confidence, knowledge, and passion for the animal care industry and confirmed that this was the career path I wanted to pursue.

I am excited to continue developing my skills and knowledge and hope to achieve my goal of becoming a Veterinary Nurse by completing my Certificate III and IV in Veterinary Nursing in the future.

My Furry Family & Hobbies

Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and attending reformer Pilates classes to stay active and unwind. I also love reading and listening to music, both of which allow me to relax and escape into a different world after a busy day.

I have a creative side as well and enjoy practising beautician work on myself, friends, and family in my spare time.

At home, I am kept busy by my two beautiful Blue Heelers, Asher and Max. They are a huge part of my life and are always waiting excitedly at the door when I get home. They love being involved in everything the family does and are incredibly affectionate, loyal, and full of personality. They truly are part of the family.

I feel incredibly grateful to work in an industry that I am so passionate about and look forward to caring for your pets as part of the Lynbrook Vet team.
