About me:
I was born and raised in the countryside in England, where I spent my life growing up around animals, especially horses.
My Passion, Purpose & Motivation:
My passion for horses comes from my mum, who also had horses growing up. However, I have a special love for all animals and always knew I wanted a career with animals in one way or another.
My Qualifications & Experience:
After I finished school, I went to college and studied to get my BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management. There, I was fortunate enough to not only learn about small animals but also to work alongside zookeepers, learning about zoo animals.
When my studies were over, I couldn’t quite figure out which direction I wanted to go, so I started doing reception work to pass the time. After a few years, I decided I wanted to work with horses and embarked on my role as a stable hand for an equine rescue. During my time there, I experienced horses coming from various different backgrounds, which inspired me to expand my knowledge about something I was passionate about. So, I headed to university, where I gained my BSc (Hons) in Equine Management.
Family & Hobbies:
Due to attending university at a slightly later stage in my life and owning horses, I never really got to travel much. So, when I finished university and sadly had to say goodbye to my beautiful horse, Rosie, I decided to pack my bags and come travelling to Australia. Here, I not only fell in love with the country but also found my now-husband.
After travelling around Australia, we finally called Melbourne home, where I began my journey into veterinary reception work. This is where I met my beautiful greyhound, Tyson. My favourite things to do are taking Tyson on adventures—he loves exploring just as much as I do. I’m a big fan of the V Supercars since coming to Australia, and I also like to read.
