Rebecca (Bec) Nichols

My life has always revolved around animals and I couldn’t imagine it any other way!

I started work in the veterinary industry in 2010 and have completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing along with my Bachelor of Science at Monash University. My bachelor degree included studies in animal behaviour, life sciences, environments, biology and conservation; all areas I feel very passionate about. In my down time I enjoy art and design, creating digital illustrations and binge watching Netflix.

My pet family consists of Charlie and Willow; two cheeky conure parrots, Annabelle  and Isabella my beautiful cats, Kenzie and Lilah my fluffy miniature poodles and my old girls,  labradoodle sisters, Pip and Fifi.

I have a strong interest in animal care and thoroughly enjoy working with wildlife. Throughout my vet nursing and wildlife caring journey I have volunteered my time with local pet and wildlife rescue groups and have raised a lot of neonatal animals including kittens, ringtail and brushtail possums. I have also had the pleasure of working with an abundance of amazing creatures including kangaroos, wombats, birds and reptiles.

I have been fortunate to be involved in an array of education programs, teaching the public about Australia’s magnificent reptiles, amphibians and the unique wildlife we are so lucky to share our homes with here in Australia. I love to teach people about animals and the things that make them so unique and wonderful which is probably why I thoroughly enjoy teaching puppy preschool here at Lynbrook Vet (that and the cute puppies!).

My role at Lynbrook Vet has changed dramatically over the short years since we opened. Begining as a practice of 3 people to now just under 30 people, I have moved from nursing into a client service and leadership role as Practice Manager. In my new role I am able to continue to support not only our patients but our incredible team and I feel blessed to work with such incredible people.

I love to meet new people and pets and enjoy getting to know you and your story. I work in this industry because I love your pets just as much as you do and I will treat them as if they were my own.
