My life has always revolved around animals and I couldn’t imagine it any other way! I started work in the veterinary industry in 2010 and have since completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing along with a Bachelor of Science at Monash University. My bachelor degree included studies in animal behaviour, life sciences, environments, biology and conservation; all areas I feel very passionate about.
At home I have two cheeky conure parrots, Charlie and Willow along with two wonderful labradoodles, Pip & Fifi. I have a strong interest in exotic pets and wildlife and have raised ringtail and brushtail possum babies throughout my nursing and wildlife caring journey. I volunteer with local pet rescue groups and in doing so have raised many neonatal kittens and as well as volunteered with education programs, teaching the public about Australia’s magnificent reptiles, amphibians and the unique wildlife we are so lucky to share our homes with.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching puppy pre-school and love to meet new people and pets. My eagerness to help, volunteer and continue learning had me nominated for the City of Casey’s 2016 Volunteer awards. I enjoy art and design and in my spare time I create digital illustrations through my small business, Rjnic Illustrations.
