About Me
As a child, I was obsessed with anything animal-related. My room was covered in animal posters, and I collected wildlife calendars whenever I could get my hands on them. I still remember the exact moment I discovered that being a veterinarian was an actual profession. From that day on, I knew it was what I wanted to do.
I went on to complete my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2023, and have been fortunate enough to turn a lifelong dream into a career.
My Passion, Purpose and Motivation
One of my favourite parts of veterinary medicine is building relationships with both pets and their families. Every animal has its own unique personality, and I love taking the time to get to know each patient as an individual while helping owners navigate important decisions about their pet’s health and wellbeing.
I also love the variety that comes with veterinary medicine. Whether I am treating a much-loved family pet or helping care for wildlife patients that come through the clinic, every day is different and brings new opportunities to learn, help, and make a positive impact.
Qualifications and Experience
Before joining Lynbrook Vet, I completed a one-year rotating internship at a busy multidisciplinary specialist hospital, where I gained experience across emergency and critical care, oncology, surgery, and internal medicine.
I have also volunteered with Pets in the Park, providing veterinary care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness throughout Melbourne. During veterinary school, I had the opportunity to work in remote Indigenous communities in East Arnhem Land. These experiences reinforced for me the important role veterinary care plays, not only in supporting animal health and welfare, but also in strengthening the bond between people, their pets, and their communities.
My Family and Hobbies
While I don’t currently have any pets of my own, I enjoy fostering animals, particularly behavioural cases, and helping them build confidence before finding their forever homes.
Outside of the clinic, I love travelling and exploring new places. During summer, you’ll often find me scuba diving and discovering the underwater world, while winter is all about skiing whenever I get the opportunity. I’m also a passionate foodie and enjoy tracking down hidden gems and new places to eat with family and friends.
