It’s that wonderful time of the year where friends and family get together and enjoy delicious foods and festive activities.
Pets like to join in the fun however they’re not counting the Christmas calories like some of us might be! Instead they’re more interested in all of the yummy smells and easy access to the Christmas goodies we leave around!
This message comes as a friendly reminder to be vigilant this holiday season.
We focus on Christmas day but often the good food and gifts can go on for days. Leading into the new year, we have to be careful not to let our guard down.
We have put together a list of the most common holiday time dangers for our pets including foods they should avoid and hazards we often overlook.
This Christmas season, be careful of your pet around:
- Christmas Pudding
- Alcohol
- Fatty Meats
- Grapes
- Dough (uncooked)
- Lilies
- Chocolates
- Onions
- Garlic
- Candles
- Bacon
- Ornaments
- Cooked Bones
- Left Overs
- Poinsettia Plant
- Nuts (Especially Macadamia & Walnuts)
