Ellie WhyeVeterinary Nurse

Ever since I was young, I always knew I wanted to work with animals. My journey began in 2012 when I left school and started my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In this time, I have worked in general practice clinics gaining lots of skills and knowledge along the way.

My nursing has had me doing a range of tasks from running puppy pre-school, teaching junior nurses and more recently working in an emergency setting. My nursing has had me recently venture overseas to Rarotonga, to volunteer for the SPCA dog desexing program, which I am very passionate about and I plan to do more of.

Of course, being a nurse, I have my own menagerie of animals at home! This includes Hugo, the Akita X Border Collie, Sushi the rescue Jack Russell, and four cats, two of which are foster fails I couldn’t give up….. their names are Jobe, Basil, Poppy and Rain. I also have a very cheeky but lovable turquoise green cheek conure named Pickles. My animals are my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
