Angella Clarkson

After finishing high school I was offered a volunteer position at the RSPCA. From there on in, I knew I wanted to work with animals and the environment. I continued to volunteer my time at numerous wildlife parks and animal welfare organisations, whilst I studied for my Diploma in Natural Resource Management.

My passion for Australian wildlife, found me caring for orphaned and sick native wildlife. I was lucky to be able to run and manage my own wildlife shelter for 12 years. Once completing my Diploma I soon realised it was difficult to find a job in the natural resource industry and went about finding another career in animal welfare.
I came across Veterinary nursing and was offered my very first Veterinary Nurse position in 2004.
Since becoming a Veterinary nurse I have gained extensive knowledge of the Veterinary industry. I also became a pet groomer, where I managed and ran the grooming department of my workplace for 10 years. My favourite part of grooming a pet, is blowing out the under coat of double coated breeds.

I continue to enjoy learning and challenging myself within my Veterinary team. My love for our native wildlife is still very strong and I have a very keen interest in nursing exotic pets.

At home I’m a partner and a mum to two beautiful daughters. My fur babies include a Sheltie named Pippin, A Rottweiler named Bear, A cat name Pringles, Two guinea pigs named Jasmine and Jacinta and numerous chicken and ducks.

In my spare time, I enjoy getting outdoors with the family (spending time amongst our beautiful Australian Fauna and Flora), sewing and spending time with my extended family.

In March 2021 I was offered a Veterinary Nurse position at Lynbrook Vet. I’m so proud to be apart of Lynbrook’s wonderful and supportive team. We continue to strive everyday to further our knowledge, in order to take the utmost care of your beautiful fur babies.

I look forward to meeting you all at Lynbrook Vet soon.
